Large Antique Seth Thomas Westminster Chime Clock Classic Styling / Serviced. This nice old clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #124 mechanical, keywind, Westminster Chime, pendulum movement that has been serviced and is in good running condition, keeping time and chiming properly. This may have started out life as an electric clock, or at least there is provision for either electric or mechanical movements. In case you are not familiar with Westminster Chimes, these are the ones that play a tune every 15 minutes; 4 notes on the quarter; 8 notes on the ½ hour; 12 notes at the ¾ hour; and then the full 16 note tune on the hour, followed by the hour toll, i. 1 toll at 1:00, 2 tolls at 2:00, etc. The classically styled case is a quite a bit larger than usual and in over all good condition. The case measurements are 21″ wide x 10 ½” high x 7 ½ deep. This clock comes complete with a key and the original pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. We honestly want you to be happy. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Mantle Clock In Good Running Order Classic Styling. Here is a nice looking hour and half hour gonging mantle clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. USA, nearly 100 years ago. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 chime at 1:00, 2 chimes at 2:00, etc. On a single chime rod and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is in nice condition. It is still in the original finish, showing only the normal signs of wear associated with age, and long term use. The solid brass bezel and silvered dial assembly is very nice looking. It silvered dial shows some age and wear, especially around the winding arbors, but in good shape for its age. The case measures 17″ wide x 9 ½” high x 6 ½ deep. This is a clock that can be enjoyed by the whole family now, and then handed down later for future generations to enjoy. It comes complete with the pendulum and a key that fits. For the collector: This is a rare to find Seth Thomas Model that features an 8 day, time only, signed Seth Thomas regulator style movement, string inlay, porcelain dial with original unique hands, heavy brass bezel and beveled edge glass crystal. Overall the clock is in very good condition for a hundred years old. The movement has been ultrasonically cleaned and is running great. The porcelain dial has a couple of light hairlines around the 2 o’clock area, but very nice looking, and there are a few veneer chip repairs that are unnoticeable. Whether you collect Seth Thomas clocks or are simply looking for a nice antique clock that runs well, this is a neat looking clock that would be nice for any room where a pleasant tick tock is desired, without the sound of gongs.
