Antique Seth Thomas “Beehive” 8 Day Time & Strike Mantle Clock Runs and Gongs. View My Other Items For Sale. This nice old clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. USA during the 1920’s. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #120 keywind, pendulum movement that is in good running condition, keeping time and gonging properly. It counts each hour on a quality flat steel gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. It is very easy to re-install. Simply place the threaded post through the hole in the bottom of the clock, line the gong up under the hammer and screw on the nut and washer underneath. It has the nice old signed Seth Thomas silvered dial that is in good aged condition, showing normal signs of age and wear. The case is also very nice looking. It measures 7 ¼” wide x 1o” high x 5 deep so is the perfect size for a bookcase, small shelf, desk, etc. This clock comes complete with the original key and pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. We honestly want you to be happy. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. Once in awhile we do offer other types of antiques and collectibles for sale, but mainly clocks are what we’re about. We are a very small, family run enterprise.. Ben handles all repairs in house. Vintage Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantel Clock – Item number 49395-4. Red Adamantine case and cleaned and buffed to a mirror finish. Solid brass bezel not overly polished to show its age. All matching original hardware – Original feet – Added surface protection to the feet. Clock case has not been altered in any way from the original. Case is ready to accept an original mechanical movement if you prefer (alignment will be necessary). Clock does have a manufacture month/date March (C) 18XX – See last photo. Clock been fitted with the most advanced quartz movement on the market with a strike similar to a cathedral gong. Gong – Strikes the hours and single strike on the half hour – This is the original mechanical movement sequence. Has 4 additional sequences. Westminster chimes 4/4 and strikes the hour. Ave Maria chimes 4/4 and strikes the hour. Westminster on the hour only chime & strike. Bim Bam strike on the hour only. Night shut-off from 11pm to 6am or, 24 hour strike, or Shut off for no chime at all. Hardware was cleaned but not overly buffed. Spade hands to match the original. Brass bezel with new paper dial and original glass. Front dial face has decorative winding arbors to simulate the look of a mechanical movement. Clock has been completely dis-assembled, cleaned of all tobacco and residue, buffed and polished, re-assembled. Operation has been tested for a minimum 30 days. While the case is in excellent condition, there are flaws to the adamantine veneer – It is not perfect after 130 years. Very elegant piece with rich sound. Smaller clock for a mantel or shelf area. Measures 10″ wide x 5 3/4″ deep x 9 1/2 high.

Here is beautiful 1905 to 1909 Seth Thomas (Stratford) beehive mantle clock. It has a like new porcelain dial with beveled convex glass. It stikes on the hour and half hour. The cabinets in beautiful condition. The movement was completely disassembled, cleaned with all components inspected. Several bushings were replaced where required. It’s been running in test for several months and ready to go.

Here is a hard to find antique original, Seth Thomas Ding Dong strike Adamantine mantle clock in great working condition. It comes with a key but not the original key. It needs a double sided key for the fast and slow pin. It runs a little slow because I do not have the fast slow key. Easily found, I do not know the size though. The key that comes with it will wind the clock and the chime side. Great paper label still attached to the inside of the back door. Thanks and have a Blessed Day. Update, I have a double sided key that works on this clock.

The dial is marked Seth Thomas and Manufactured in the United States of America. The movement is also marked Made in U. This is a highly collectible American antique wall clock style, often referred to as a schoolhouse or drop octagon regulator clock. Condition: This is an antique used clock showing normal age-related wear throughout. The wood case has scratches, finish wear, small chips, age cracks, repairs/wood separation and patina. Clock is in a really great shape. I don’t know a whole lot about the mechanisms of clocks. The pendulum seems to swing, but I don’t see the hands necessarily moving. Just looking at the mechanism it doesn’t seem to be damaged in any kind of way.
