Antique Seth Thomas Sons & Co. Thomaston, CT, Mantle Clock w/Globe. If anyone knows the exact year of make -we would be gratefull if you shared, Thank you. The wood base seems to have been repaired but the clock is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and untouched- works well. Comes with it;s own key. Surrounded with glass globe. On the verso it is numbered #6352. Wood bottom navy blue stem rests on a Black wood base. As mentioned before the bottom stem part seems to have repaired. When wound with the key it works (Please do not over wind). Glass globe makes this desk-mantle clock is very attractive piece. This is a RARER piece-Please take care. MEASURES: With out globe- 7 1/2″ x 4 1/2″. With Globe- 12″ x 7″. For Sale a Rare Very Nice Antique Seth Thomas & Sons Tucker Bronze Mantel Clock Circa 1878. Case has been cleaned and gone over to bring back natural bronze patina. Porcelain dial with a couple chips that are hidden by bezel. Bronze heavy bezel sits on clock and covers dial, but hinge is broken, so it needs to be removed and replaced after winding. Clock has original porthole back cover with original screws that allow viewing of the movement. Seth Thomas and Sons Marked French Style movement marked. Strikes on a bell on the half hour, and counts on the hour with a bell strike. 10″(W) X 5.5″ (D) X 12 (H). Clock weights almost 20 pounds! Check the pictures as they say much more than words.
