Seth Thomas Miniature Pillar & Scroll Mantel Clock “Tradition”, ca 1950. Hand rubbed mahogany, 20 tall, push button door opener, 3 original brass finials, 8 day pendulum movement. Strikes on the hour and half hour. It’s been in my personal collection and has been running fine for years. The face is clean, the top of the case has some wear on the wood. Please check photos carefully as they are part of the description. There are videos on google and youtube that show you how. Extra care will be taken during packaging to ensure safe arrival.

Early Seth Thomas Pillar & Scroll Brass Finials Ca. 1820

The best way to confirm is seeing, the internal threaded rusty post, the turned cast brass top and thin spun brass bowels. I’ve seen these finials on the early Seth Thomas off center pendulum Pillar & Scroll clock, and Few later models. Those were first produced around the 1818 era. FOR THE FEW WHO HAVE A SETH THOMAS OFF CENTER PILLAR AND SCROLL CLOCK WITH REPLACEMENT FINIALS. THESE WILL AND ALOT OF VALUE TO YOUR RARE CLOCK. I’M LOOKING TO FIND ONE OF THESE RARE CLOCKS. IF I FIND ONE. I’D BE KEEPING THESE FINIALS.

Beyond rare and hard to find alone is a set of early original Seth Thomas urn style finials. These came off an early on the Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll clocks just after their earliest wood finials, 1820’s. The base and spiral style top are turned cast brass. Bowels are two piece spun brass. The steel posts are just under 1/8 dia. With just a few threads on the top of the rods. They show some rust and tarnish which they should for their age. Over all in great shape and will finish off your early Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll. If you own one of the few earliest Seth Thomas Pilar and Scroll off center Pendulum shelf clocks pre 1820, and have replacement finials. Now you can make it all Original and complete.

Early 19th century, antique circa 1930s, time and strike movement, painted wooden dial with Roman numerals, mahogany case with a reverse painted glass tablet on the lower door, depicting Mount Vernon, George Washington’s Virginia home, and three bronze finials with open pediment scroll work and supported by two columns. Antique Ansonia pillar and scroll mantle mechanical (wind-up) clock from the 920’s. After winging it up, the clock appears to work for a while, then tIcking starts to slow down, eventually stopping. The coil for the gong is no longer attached, but is included. Case needs to be refinished. Great project clock or use as display as is.
