Antique Cincinnati Time Recorder Company – Movement by Seth Thomas Clock. Interesting old clock that still ticks away when pendulum swings. I did not wind nor did I check to see if it keeps time. The hands remove easily as I did when showing insides. May need need a good going over, but it appears in “good condition” inside. I see pendulum is held on with a safety pin. 23.5″ H x 13″ W x 7 D. An Antique SIMPLEX-Time Recorder Clock-Ca. 1900-To Restore-Seth Thomas 15 or 30 day #50 Movement complete & original needing new mainsprings. The clock having been stored in a barn for years it has a number of issues but restorable. The doors need glass. The top door has one joint that needs glue. The bottom board of the case has loose veneer. The top corners of the front of the case both has a chip pc. The bottom steel plate needs screws. Having its original pendulum & old original finish. Up for sale is this antique Eco Magneto Clock Company time recorder, when the watchmen would check in at various locations in the building this was the central device recording it all. A very important part of American Industrialism. This is a parts or repair project, the movement needs a complete overhaul, and the key is also missing. The case is solid oak, it would probably clean quite nicely with some finish treatment, but it’s pretty worn as you see it. There is some ornate trim around the top and in an envelope accompanying the clock there was a good bit more, maybe for around the bottom or door. The glass has a film on it, I haven’t had much luck removing it, I tried some warm soapy water and a paper towel, you can see what I’m referring to in a photo. Measures about 14″ X 12 1/4″ x 7.
