Antique Seth Thomas U. NAVY BOAT CLOCK great for restoration needs. The case has its original unpolished patina. There Is an old bump on the ring. The glass has multiple cracks. The clock dial is loose and missing the key and clock hands. Sounds like there is something loose inside that slides around when you tilt it. This will make a worthy restoration project. Movement – Marked Sessions – Time & Strike – 1/2 hour bell hour gong – Time spring is broken and needs to be replaced, once this is done this will be a great running clock. Operating condition – I have many clocks to test and limited time to do so – Tested – This clock functions on the strike side flawlessly SEE VIDEO. This clock will need service for long term optimal operation. Features – Wood Body with mahogany finish and decorative scrolling accents – All Original – Original paper on on the inside door – 11″ tall X 19″ Wide – High Quality example – Very Clean. Clock Body – Condition is as seen – Please see ALL photos you be the judge. Superb example excellent eye appeal – minor finish loss and a few dings but No cracks, chips or damage to be found in the housing. Here is a handsome American crystal regulator repair project with dial marked Gilbert but movement clearly marked Seth Thomas. Probably an old and clumsy attempt at restoring a crystal regulator. At any rate, here it is in as found condition, with good springs running but out beat and has to be tipped out of level, and rear glass has crack at top left as pictured. Could be a nice clock with correct movement and dial. Please see photos for condition. Antique SETH THOMAS 19 CLOCK. This must have been a beauty in it’s glory days! The structure itself is in pretty good condition. Some veneer is peeling at the top and someone has taped it to keep it together. Some of the veneer is missing near the top. The door closes well and the closure on it works well. The face is in bad shape and one of the hands is missing. I think it might be behind the face, but I’m not sure that’s what I see. There’s a coil and bell inside the door that apparently used to chime. I don’t know what the loose pieces are that are pictured. They were down in the bottom, inside the clock. They will be wrapped in paper and stored back inside the clock. There are holes on the top, back and bottom. I don’t know if they are supposed to be there or not. I don’t know how old this clock is.
