Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine mantel clock in working order. The clock runs, keeps time well, and appears to be in good mechanical working condition. Features an ornate gold-tone dial, black Adamantine-style case, side columns, decorative feet, pendulum, brass movement, and original Seth Thomas paper labels on the back. The clock shows age-related wear including chips, scratches, scuffs, finish loss, and veneer/case wear as shown in the photos. The original labels are still present but worn. Clock has been tested for 24 hours and keeps accurate time, indicating a healthy movement and proper pendulum balance. Case shows light age wear consistent with its era, including a small missing wood chip on the lower left, noted for transparency. Glass is intact, finish is original, and no heavy restoration has been done. A strong example of Seth Thomas craftsmanship with excellent display presence. Runs and keeps time. SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. 14 INCH PILOT/ WARDROOM CLOCK. MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE CLOCK RUN IN THE VIDEO!!! The general consensus is the clock is from c. 1900 -01 as the #10 movement was only available in that year’s catalog. The closest thing in the Trans Duy Ly’s Seth Thomas book to this clock is the Seth Thomas “Wardroom” which has the same type of oak case. This was fairly common for Seth Thomas and other companies to make one off clocks for specific customers or make prototypes, this is most likely the case. The clock is 14 inches wide! The two parts (base and bezel) slide together with a slotted track (see pics). This clock was definitely made for pilot room or offices. It looks great on the wall! This is your chance to really own something rare and not mass produced, this clock is most likely a prototype and could literally be the only existing specimen. This clock as mentioned is powered by the powerful time only Seth Thomas signed #10, 8 Day Lever Movement. The movement as you can see in the video is running vigorously and was just serviced two weeks ago. The clock glass is in very good shape with no cracks or breaks, the locking mechanism opens and closes freely. The clock case is 14 inches wide and almost 5 inches thick with original finish. Hands look original to the clock. The dial could be a replacement but it is in great shape with hardly any wear. This attention grabbing clock will look great in any room or office… We will get it to you in one piece!

This rare original zinc dial is in very good original condition with good original solid dial paint as shown in the photos , and having some strengthening to most of the numerals and lines. Dial presents very well. Measures 11 5/8″ outer diameter, 1 1/2″ between the center of the center hole and the center of the winding hole, 1 15/16 between the center of the center hole and the center of the seconds hole. Presenting a remarkable antique Seth Thomas shelf or mantle clock, believed to be assembled around 1866. This charming timepiece features its original movement, as detailed in the handwritten note on the back, which also highlights typical Seth Thomas superior workmanship. The clock’s face displays classic Roman numerals, and it comes with its winding key. The wooden case exhibits a beautiful aged patina consistent with its vintage, showing some wear, nicks, and a chip on the lower left front base (see images for detailed condition). The lower glass panel shows some silvering loss. This clock is stated to run for several days on a single winding and does not require tight winding.
