This clock retains its original wood finish, original dial, original brass movement, and original patina throughout. It is currently running well and striking correctly on the hour and half-hour, just as intended. No polishing, refinishing, or cosmetic alterations have been performed. What you see is an honest, well-preserved example that has survived decades without being over-restored. Maker: Seth Thomas. Era: Late 1940s. Movement: Original Seth Thomas brass time & strike movement (48J). Strike: Hour & half-hour strike on coil gong. Case: Solid wood tambour case with original finish. This antique pendulum wall clock with a unique second hand is in very good condition and working. It has some ware from age and use but a minimal amount for being over 100 years old. The Seth Thomas movement is marked with an 80. After research, I think that this clock was made in the late 1800’s though I don’t see any markings on the back indicating the year it was made. It is 32″ tall, 16″ wide and almost 6 thick. The face is 12 in diameter and has a bit of ware on the bottom numbers from the hands, which are loose, that may have been rubbing. This clock has been serviced last in July 2018 and is on my living room wall, and I have never had a wind-up clock keep such perfect time. It is an 8-day movement and I wind it once a week and I really hate to see it go so I would not accept offers. Please view all 12 photos as they are part of this description….
