A Seth Thomas Model 102 from the 1880s in a stunning faux burl wood adamantine finish with a deep, rich luster. The finish came to us in good condition and we have used our neutral cleaner and applied a coat of hard wax and done minor cleaning to the copper accents. The movement is of the period but does not appear to be the original movement housed in the case (based on mounting holes inside the case). Movement has been cleaned, lubricated, adjusted and keeps excellent time with a bell on the half hour and gong on the hour. The clock came to us from an area collector. Condition: the clock is in full working order, both time and strike, and has been run continuously in our workshop without incident. A small area of finish is lacking on one corner and is pictured in the images. The original dial has some toning and the usual marks around the winding arbors. Most of the original label on the back is still present but very toned. The photographs are an integral part of the condition statement. The clock is 16.5 inches wide, 6.5 inches depth and 11.5 inches in height. Pre-packing weight 8 lb 13 oz. We are happy to consider your reasonable offers. Very nice antique Seth Thomas mantel clock. I cleaned and polished the case and test ran the clock before listing. I have been collecting clocks most of my life and look to pass these off to a good home. Nice black adamantine finish, high polished finish. Eight-day time and strike with Cathedral gong. Comes with key and bob. Clock measures 16 x 7 x 11. All antiques will have normal wear due to age but maintain a very beautiful time piece.

Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Mantle Clock In Good Running Order Classic Styling. Here is a nice looking hour and half hour gonging mantle clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. USA, nearly 100 years ago. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 chime at 1:00, 2 chimes at 2:00, etc. On a single chime rod and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is in nice condition. It is still in the original finish, showing only the normal signs of wear associated with age, and long term use. The solid brass bezel and silvered dial assembly is very nice looking. It silvered dial shows some age and wear, especially around the winding arbors, but in good shape for its age. The case measures 17″ wide x 9 ½” high x 6 ½ deep. This is a clock that can be enjoyed by the whole family now, and then handed down later for future generations to enjoy. It comes complete with the pendulum and a key that fits. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final (with the exception noted below). It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is running properly when it arrives, that is about the best we can do.
