The time feature seems to be overwound or the spring needs replaced.

This is a rare and beautiful antique desk/ mantle clock made in the Art Nouveau style. The clock is made of bronze and features a loving woman with hands corssed over clock. It is a wind-up mechanical clock with an analog display. The figure and clock appear to be all original. The clock winds up, but it does not work. Was overwound at some point. Even if you don’t use/fix clock, this is a really nice piece from one the best, if not best, design eras ever. The figure has natural wear and nice patina all around. In very nice cosmetic condition. Stands 11 and 1/4 in high. I have seen this figure with a Seth Thomas clock in it, so you can swap out the clock rather easily or leave all original. Has most of the crystals around bezel are still in place which is rare. Striking piece on mantle, desk, shelf or office. Nice gift for the right person, even if that’s you! Both wind up keys are working well. Glass is clear and intact. Face is not yellowing. Back is brass color and looks clean. All hands are intact and in good working condition. Color overall seems to fade from brass at the top to silver on the base.

15.5 gilt bronze Seth Thomas Art Nouveau Clock – Runs. Fresh from a clock collector’s estate sale this clock looks great. It has a woman’s head right under the porcelain dial (nice dial). The photo of the movement is without the pendulum in place. Clock was not over wound on either side when I got it from the estate. I really don’t know much about the clock, check out all the photos. There are no chips or cracks to the case. Clock is currently running. There is normal wear to the gilt on the high spots and bronze showing under the gilt. The last photo shows the bronze showing under the gilt right on the crest. I have shown pics of the pendulum and the bottom of the clock which do look somewhat jury rigged. Offering this rare and beautiful Art Nouveau mantel clock by Seth Thomas. It features a lithe fairy figure on one side of the clock’s pillar and a cherub on the other side. The fairy has a realistic face and body and moth-like wings, and the cherub is a typical Cupid-style figure with a mandolin. There are Art Nouveau motifs throughout, from the sinuous feet to the pebbled texture of the pillar to the windblown ribbon to the scrolls and roses on top. There is normal gilt wear around the edges, but as you can see, the most notable wear to the piece is on top of the base where the gilt has worn away and there is verdigris/surface rust. But the majority of the clock is in nice condition for its age. There are no breaks, losses, or repairs. The clock face is complete and clean. The key is a vintage replacement from West Germany, but the works start right up upon winding. Truly a must-have for Seth Thomas fans and Art Nouveau collectors – I couldn’t find another example like it! Measures about 15″ tall and 8″ x 5 across the base.
