Very nice, rare, vintage Seth Thomas wall clock. 22 3/8″ wide x 2″ deep. Original “C cell” battery mechanism. It runs fast – I’ve tried adjusting it with a little success. More than likely the mechanism should be replaced with a modern, more accurate one. I bought this from the original owner. It is untouched – the rods are tarnished but could easily be polished. The face has some minor wear – look closely at photos. All-in-all a great piece of eye candy. Seth Thomas Starburst/Sunburst Teak Clock 1960s/70s. Stunning 26 inch (in diameter) retro clock Seth Thomas clock, made in Scotland. Overall in good condition and works well. Clock face (7 inches in diameter) and numerals in good condition (but would benefit from a polish). Metal parts have some tarnish and 3 of the 4 clips that hold the clock face in place have broken (see photos). The most recent broke when I removed the clock from my mum’s wall where it has hung for decades. I have tried sticking it back on (so it will come with the clock) but I don’t know where the other broken pieces went. Should be easy to find a repair for someone with the skills but a shame that the clips have weakened over time. As far as I can tell this is the original mechanism and still works. Will be disassembled for safer transport and packing (all teak “rays” can and will be removed from metal frame). From a smoke free home.
