Antique Seth Thomas No. 124 Westminster Chime Mantel Clock Nice Working. We are offering for sale this very nice antique Seth Thomas No. 124 Westminster chime 8-day mantel or shelf clock. This clock is 21″ wide, 9″ tall and 6 deep. The dark Mahogany wood case is nicely accented with a contrasting lighter tone design under the dial giving it a timeless elegant look. The silvered metal dial has bronze raised numerals and is in nice condition and is marked with the Seth Thomas name. The door frame is brass with convex glass and the hands are original. The original movement is also marked with the Seth Thomas logo and the movement number 124. The Seth Thomas key is included. TESTED Working Seth Thomas’ Sons & Co. New York, NY, No. 8051, 8 day, time and strike spring driven brass movement figural shelf clock Maidens Musician & Artist. Watch the video to hear the delicate bell strike for the hour and half hour. The cast metal cases were most likely made by Mitchell Vance & Co. New York and supplied to Seth Thomas. Their catalog offered clocks made by Seth Thomas with cases made by them. Condition: Cast spelter case retains most of it’s bronze finish, but has a small scratch on the center column. Original porcelain dial in very good Condition Roman Numerals. Back access door is original. Heavy Beveled Glass to cover Dial. Dimensions: 12.5in x 19in x 4.5in Circa: 1872in Original condition, has a several small scratches or chip on the paint, one of the leveling legs is bent, but in very good condition over all, the key is a Seth Thomas replica. The Clock has been Tested for 10 days, Cleaned and oiled mechanism, Works and keeps accurate time.
