Antique Circa 1910s – 1920s Era Gilbert Tambour Mantle Clock – RUNS – VIDEO – All Original. Movement – 8 day – Time & Strike – Marked Gilbert – Looks dirty would benefit greatly from a cleaning. Hands – Original – Brass. Dial – Original – Marked Gilbert. Operating condition – I have many clocks to test and limited time to do so – Tested – I have ran this clock for a full day with no issue. This clock has no 1/2 hour strike and only strikes on the hour (SEE VIDEO). Please understand i do not know the service history of this clock, and it MAY need service in the future for long term optimal operation. Features – 9.5″ tall X 20″ Wide – High Quality example. Clock Body – Condition is as seen – Please see ALL photos you be the judge – Shows some finish wear otherwise No damage to be mentioned. This baby is circa 1863, has its original key, winds, ticks and chimes beautifully. The door lock works, the original label visible on the inside and though the face has wear, I find the patina stunning. The face hands have “S & T” on them, which was a new stylish feature, and why this model is so rare considering it’s age and collectiblity. Please reference all photos before making your decision.
