Pristine Vintage Seth Thomas “Windham” Triple Chime Mantle Clock. Up for sale is a breathtaking, premium vintage Seth Thomas “Windham” Mantle Clock in verified, flawless operational condition. Built during the golden era of mid-century American traditional clock design (circa 1960s-1970s), this highly collectible timekeeping masterpiece marries a gorgeous American-crafted cabinet with an ultra-reliable, precision brass movement imported directly from the historic Black Forest region of Germany. ? MECHANICAL CONDITION & PROVENANCE. Perfect Working Order: This clock is not a project or an untested gamble. It has been meticulously monitored, timed, and tested. The timekeeping train is highly accurate running smoothly across its entire 8-day cycle. Flawless Chime Execution: The internal gears shift automatically and flawlessly. The clock plays its melodic chord progressions precisely at the 15, 30, and 45-minute marks, culminating in the full song and deep, resonant hour-counting strikes on the top of the hour. All Three Melodies Functional: The internal selector lever changes tracks seamlessly between all three iconic cathedral melodies. Westminster (The classic traditional chime). Whittington (A lively, cascading Old English tune). Michael (A grand, complex architectural sequence). Chime Silence Feature: Includes a manual silence selector toggle on the dial face for quiet environments. Accessories: Comes complete with a properly sized mechanical winding key. ? CABINET DESIGN & DIMENSIONS. The Iconic Tambour Shape: The hardwood case features the highly sought-after Tambour silhouette (frequently called the “Napoleon Hat” or humpback style). It is defined by an elegant, low-profile horizontal base that sweeps symmetrically upward into a central dome framing the clock dial. Cosmetic Condition: The wood cabinet is structurally magnificent, showcasing rich, warm grain variations. The face trim, hands, and metal arbors are clean, and the protective glass crystal cover is free of cracks or heavy scratches. Width: _______ inches. Height: _______ inches. Depth: _______ inches. ? CHIME TIMING & EXPLANATORY DETAILS. For your peace of mind and setup reference, the timing breakdown of the clock’s mechanical progressions runs as follows. 15-Minute Quarter Melody: Approx. 4 to 5 seconds (4-note progression). 30-Minute Half Melody: Approx. 8 to 10 seconds (8-note progression). 45-Minute Three-Quarter Melody: Approx. 12 to 15 seconds (12-note progression). Top of the Hour Full Melody: Approx. 16 to 22 seconds (Full 16-note song). Hour Strikes: Follows the melody at the top of the hour. Each individual hammer strike takes roughly 1.5 to 2 seconds. (At 12:00, the full strike sequence takes roughly 20 to 24 seconds to count out the hour). Because this is a heavy, delicate, purely mechanical heirloom, it requires expert transit preparation. How It Is Packed: The clock will be carefully wrapped in multiple layers of heavy-duty bubble wrap and secured inside a rigid, oversized, double-boxed container to eliminate external pressure or vibration during transit. Transit Mechanical Protection: To protect the internal alignment while in transit, the pendulum and acoustic chime hammers will be safely immobilized using temporary, non-damaging painter’s tape. Quick, simple unboxing and setup instructions will be included inside the package so you can have it running immediately! Please inspect the high-resolution listing photos closely and check out our attached listing video to hear all three melodies and the hour strikes playing perfectly in real-time! The clock is in nice condition with no major issues. It appears that it had a dedication plate on the stand, just below the clock. It could be color matched pretty easily, but it’s not noticeable enough to worry about. Mechanically the clock is mostly untested. It was wound and ticked while it was being listed. When the hands were cycled it chimed. This is a nice heavy clock issued by Seth Thomas and it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!

The clock has some scratches on its face that can be seen in the pictures. It has a great patina and has not been cleaned. I was able to get this clock running and it has ran nonstop for the past 24 hours. Not sure how well it holds time. The bell tries to work, and makes a noise perhaps it needs some cleaning and love, not sure. Comes with the key.
