Vintage Seth Thomas mantel clock featuring a beautiful wood case with pointed steeple accents and floral hand-painted details on the dial and lower glass door. Condition: Good vintage condition; case shows minor scuffs, edge wear, scratches, and some finish loss appropriate for age (see photos). Some marks and dust visible inside, and wear/spots on back. Please review all photos for close-ups of condition details. Clock face displays’Seth Thomas’ branding and’German Movt. (German movement) printed at the bottom of the dial. Traditional Roman numeral face with ornate vintage-style clock hands. Lower door features an oval glass panel with painted wreath and flowers revealing the brass pendulum. Pendulum and winding mechanism present inside. No winding key is shown/included. Approximate measurements: 16.5 inches tall x 9.25 inches wide x 4.75 inches deep (see measurement photos for reference). This model is a classic steeple-style shelf mantel clock, popular for Victorian and early 20th-century decor themes. The clock is in nice condition with no major issues. It appears that it had a dedication plate on the stand, just below the clock. It could be color matched pretty easily, but it’s not noticeable enough to worry about. Mechanically the clock is mostly untested. It was wound and ticked while it was being listed. When the hands were cycled it chimed. This is a nice heavy clock issued by Seth Thomas and it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!

Item u see in pics is exact items and only items u will receive. Clock is missing a key to wind the clock. Clock works as long as you have the key to wind it.

This is a vintage used condition that is not perfect scuffing damage, as shown, as shown. One side glass broken and bottom door glass missing. Untested parts or repair. Front case easily screws on and off. Slight wear and edge dings to the case. No attempt made to clean or disturb the patina. Tested over 40 hour period, no time lost. Please view all of the images, as they are part of this description. Wound and started Wednesday April 30, 10:43pm, checked periodically, last checked on Friday May 2 4:08pm. Still right on time to the minute. 40+ hour test run looks good. Then listed for sale. All chimes work, 1 bell, 2 bells, and so on all the way to 8 bells at the top and bottom of the hour. Bells set an hour earlier than standard / typical maritime 4 hour watch times, as bell rings 8 times at 11:00 instead of the more typical 12:00. 5 1/4″ in diameter X 3 1/8″ deep.

The clock has some scratches on its face that can be seen in the pictures. It has a great patina and has not been cleaned. I was able to get this clock running and it has ran nonstop for the past 24 hours. Not sure how well it holds time. The bell tries to work, and makes a noise perhaps it needs some cleaning and love, not sure. Comes with the key.

It is in good/okay vintage condition with normal wear from use. It does have some finish wear and discoloration/tarnishing from age. There is also a ding/bend (see pic) on the outer ring. It is marked SETH THOMAS and GERMAN MOVT inside. Also marked on back CORSAIR E537-000 and SETH THOMAS, DIV. OF GENERAL TIME CORP. Comes with original key and original SETH THOMAS wood clock stand (can still see part of the sticker). Stand has some scuffs, wear, etc. This clock weighs almost 4 lbs with stand. All work when tested but not guaranteed. The nickle cased music box clock is missing its crystal and there is a flee bite chip on the top of the Gilbert Porcelain.

Needs repair, bellows need to be rebuilt. Vintage German Black Forest cuckoo clock by Seth Thomas from the mid-20th century. It features a man playing a squeeze box to a young lady on a bench. It is working now but doesn’t keep the best time. I did not adjust the pendulum to see if this corrected the time issue. It is a nice piece and would make a great display piece. It has more color than most of the Black Forest clocks. Recommend having someone go through it to ensure years of continued use. Check out our other items in our shop.
