This Seth Thomas Adamantine mantel clock features a classic architectural silhouette, finished in a deep black veneer with striking faux-marble inlays on the crown and base. The front panel is decorated with gold-tone incised floral scrolls, and the case sits on four detailed, scrolled cast metal feet. Movement: 8-day brass mechanical movement, Made in U. Case Material: Wood with and cast metal hardware. Features: Roman numeral dial, decorative brass-tone bezel, and rear bell strike. Mechanical: The clock is in working condition. It has been tested and successfully runs until the spring winds down.. It has run for several days without any stopping.. While it is currently operational, it has not been tested for long-term timekeeping accuracy and may require the standard cleaning or adjustment expected of a mechanical movement of this vintage. Case: The Adamantine finish remains glossy with vibrant color. There is a small chip in the veneer on the lower-left corner of the base, and the cream-colored dial shows a natural aged patina and foxing. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantel Clock 2-Column Light Tortoise Shell Finish Manufactured Jan 1896. It is in good condition given the age, but has a small scratch on the front finish, door face is missing the glass, and missing winding key. All original mechanical parts and decorative finishes. It’s a great piece at half the market price for someone to restore or convert to a quartz movement.

These have a great look to them. The detailing is really beautiful. These have been kept in good well cared for condition. There may be some surface wear from age which is to be expected. SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. 14 INCH PILOT/ WARDROOM CLOCK. MAKE SURE YOU SEE THE CLOCK RUN IN THE VIDEO!!! The general consensus is the clock is from c. 1900 -01 as the #10 movement was only available in that year’s catalog. The closest thing in the Trans Duy Ly’s Seth Thomas book to this clock is the Seth Thomas “Wardroom” which has the same type of oak case. This was fairly common for Seth Thomas and other companies to make one off clocks for specific customers or make prototypes, this is most likely the case. The clock is 14 inches wide! The two parts (base and bezel) slide together with a slotted track (see pics). This clock was definitely made for pilot room or offices. It looks great on the wall! This is your chance to really own something rare and not mass produced, this clock is most likely a prototype and could literally be the only existing specimen. This clock as mentioned is powered by the powerful time only Seth Thomas signed #10, 8 Day Lever Movement. The movement as you can see in the video is running vigorously and was just serviced two weeks ago. The clock glass is in very good shape with no cracks or breaks, the locking mechanism opens and closes freely. The clock case is 14 inches wide and almost 5 inches thick with original finish. Hands look original to the clock. The dial could be a replacement but it is in great shape with hardly any wear. This attention grabbing clock will look great in any room or office… We will get it to you in one piece!
