The best way to confirm is seeing, the internal threaded rusty post, the turned cast brass top and thin spun brass bowels. I’ve seen these finials on the early Seth Thomas off center pendulum Pillar & Scroll clock, and Few later models. Those were first produced around the 1818 era. FOR THE FEW WHO HAVE A SETH THOMAS OFF CENTER PILLAR AND SCROLL CLOCK WITH REPLACEMENT FINIALS. THESE WILL AND ALOT OF VALUE TO YOUR RARE CLOCK. I’M LOOKING TO FIND ONE OF THESE RARE CLOCKS. IF I FIND ONE. I’D BE KEEPING THESE FINIALS.

Beyond rare and hard to find alone is a set of early original Seth Thomas urn style finials. These came off an early on the Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll clocks just after their earliest wood finials, 1820’s. The base and spiral style top are turned cast brass. Bowels are two piece spun brass. The steel posts are just under 1/8 dia. With just a few threads on the top of the rods. They show some rust and tarnish which they should for their age. Over all in great shape and will finish off your early Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll. If you own one of the few earliest Seth Thomas Pilar and Scroll off center Pendulum shelf clocks pre 1820, and have replacement finials. Now you can make it all Original and complete.
