Up for sale is one of the best original Antique Seth Thomas “Eclipse” Model Clocks I have ever owned. This clock was just overhauled and cleaned on 6/19/21 and runs perfect. The clock man who did the work said the movement overall was in great shape with no ware and had no reason for any bushing installation. The clock strikes the hour and the half hour and has the optional alarm with the original old Key & Period Pendulum. It even still retains the entire inside label inside although dark it is all there. This clock came from the original family home where it had been for over 100 years and I would date this to be around the late 1880’s. Nothing repaired or missing on this lovely Walnut case and showing the factory number stamped in the case when opening the door that reads; K6788. 24 ½” Tall by 14 1/8″ Wide by 4 ¼ Deep. Antique Seth Thomas Walnut Eclipse 8 Day Time and Strike Wall Clock Working Well. We are offering for sale this really nice antique Seth Thomas walnut Eclipse 8 day time and. It is also referred to as “ball top”. The Eclipse model was also made as a shelf clock which is more common. It strikes at the top of the hour with the correct number of hours and once at the bottom of the hour. It runs very well. The key is included but is not original. This clock also features the early alarm system. It measures 26 1/2″ tall x 14 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2 deep. The condition is overall very good including the original Eclipse pendulum and super nice gold tablet on the glass door. The paper clock face is in good condition with slight wear. The wood panel that frames the dial has been replaced. It is not seen with the door closed. There is a partial worn label inside. See my other listings. For more great items! Another great feature of this clock is the Seth Thomas 8 day lyre movement, it is in very good condition and running correctly keeping good time here at the house and striking properly as well. It is a spring wound eight day time & strike movement that announces the half hour and counts the hour on a good sounding wire gong. The gong base is a quality base it has the nickel base along with the heavy flat wire. The Seth Thomas dial also measures 6 inches in diameter. Also the clock comes with the original double ended brass winding key which winds the movement. There is a alarm mechanism that is located inside the door toward the bottom of the clock. This is a excellent clock to obtain and will always be a favorite because of the eye catching east lake design. This is an exceptional clock that is in very good original condition.
