This door has the original, very nice clean finish. More importantly it has the original glass with original wood glass holding surrounds – check photos. If you are looking for a fine replacement for your damaged door – this is it. Last photo shows an age crack on the top of the door – will not show when clock is hanging. Back side has some flaws as shown in photos. Size is 28 1/2″ tall, widest on door top is 15 1/2″, widest on door bottom is 11 1/2.

1860 vintage Antique LARGE Seth Thomas Office Calendar, Double Dial, wall Clock, with one (1) Weight Driven and amazing carving oak Case. THE CLOCK TIME WORKS AS WELL AS CALENDAR. The clock coming with key & Tim mechanical movement with 12.5 inch dial and Roman numerals and mechanical calendar movement with 14.5 inch dial and Arabic numerals. And brass pendulum and original one (1) weight driven. The clock case has vintage condition, missing some wood veneer, & both dial color is refreshing. Width set point 20 inches. The video shows the clock working; however, as with many vintage clocks, it may work intermittently. Sometimes these clocks function well, and other times they may stop. Release the weight by removing the back panel and sliding out the piece above the weight. Place the clock firmly in the desired position and wind it up. Remove the fastening from the time hand and start the clock running. Then remove the cord that connects the month roll and the fastening from the calendar hand. Move the left-hand lever up and down until the calendar shows the correct day of the week. Then move the right-hand lever in the same way until the correct month appears, and continue until the correct day of the month is indicated by the hand. At this point, the clock shows 5 o’clock in the morning. Keep the clock wound; if it runs down and the calendar falls behind a day or two, simply turn the minute hand until the calendar shows the correct date again. This clock features a perpetual calendar – when set up correctly, it will accurately display the month and day, including February 29th in leap years. Manufactured by Seth Thomas Clock Co. Double Spring, Runs 7-5/8 Bezel. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself! Nice looking wall clock here. Made by the Seth Thomas Company in the USA. This is not the smaller 4 case model. This is the larger 7-5/8 case model. Would guess from design that the clock was made prior to WWII. The clock is most likely a 16 day mechanical brass movement with the two spring winds. No strike or chime here with this clock. Nice black colored composite case here. The numbering and minute marking are done in black on the antique white background face. The hands match and look appropriate to the clock. The seconds hand is also in place and moves as expected. The slow/fast adjustment lever is in place on the face of the clock, and seems to work as well. No grommets in place around the wind holes on the face. The black colored case is all there. No cracks or repairs to the case. Does show some minor lacquer loss to the case, mostly on the bezel and some discoloration on the sides of the case. The case has a gold composite bezel that is securely attached to it by a hinge. The glass is intact, no cracks or blistering to the glass. The knob to lock down the non-hinge side of the bezel is still with the clock. The clock has most likely a 16 day mechanical brass movement. No maker markings on the back plate of the movement. Did not look at the front plate. The wind springs feels sound when keyed. The clock will come with a vintage wind key. The clock is mounted on a beautiful mahogany wood plaque. Nice emblem shape to the wood plaque. A hanger ring is in place on the back of the plaque. The clock face is 5 across. The wood plaque is 14-3/8″ across by 17.5″ long, by 1 wide. Provenance Sheet: Seth Thomas Brass Maritime Clock. Seth Thomas Clock Company, Thomaston, Connecticut, USA. Solid Brass Case with Perforated Sound Cover. Unpolished, original patina preserved. (July 1939) stamped inside case. Mechanical, 8-day, dual mainspring (time + strike). Bulkhead or wall-mounted, typical of naval installations. Manufactured in July 1939, this clock predates the U. Entry into WWII and reflects Seth Thomas’s early naval production standards. This feature is consistent with pre-war naval clocks designed for both function and discretion. Original brass, unpolished with natural patina. Perforated brass side panel intact. Original winding key included. Functional; manually triggers chime, resets automatically. Preserving patina maintains historical integrity and collector value. Use dry microfiber cloth; avoid liquid cleaners or abrasives. Service movement every 5-7 years by qualified horologist.
