This Seth Thomas Mantel Clock 401-003 is in very good working condition except the moon dial doesn’t appear to move otherwise, a great working clock keeping very good time and strikes on brass rods Westminster tune. 1860 vintage Antique LARGE Seth Thomas Office Calendar, Double Dial, wall Clock, with one (1) Weight Driven and amazing carving oak Case. THE CLOCK TIME WORKS AS WELL AS CALENDAR. The clock coming with key & Tim mechanical movement with 12.5 inch dial and Roman numerals and mechanical calendar movement with 14.5 inch dial and Arabic numerals. And brass pendulum and original one (1) weight driven. The clock case has vintage condition, missing some wood veneer, & both dial color is refreshing. Width set point 20 inches. The video shows the clock working; however, as with many vintage clocks, it may work intermittently. Sometimes these clocks function well, and other times they may stop. Thank you for your understanding. Original Instruction Label Seth Thomas Clock Co. Directions for Setting Up This Clock. Release the weight by removing the back panel and sliding out the piece above the weight. Place the clock firmly in the desired position and wind it up. Remove the fastening from the time hand and start the clock running. Then remove the cord that connects the month roll and the fastening from the calendar hand. Move the left-hand lever up and down until the calendar shows the correct day of the week. Then move the right-hand lever in the same way until the correct month appears, and continue until the correct day of the month is indicated by the hand. At this point, the clock shows 5 o’clock in the morning. Keep the clock wound; if it runs down and the calendar falls behind a day or two, simply turn the minute hand until the calendar shows the correct date again. This clock features a perpetual calendar – when set up correctly, it will accurately display the month and day, including February 29th in leap years. Manufactured by Seth Thomas Clock Co. This rare original zinc dial is in very good original condition with good original solid dial paint as shown in the photos , and having some strengthening to most of the numerals and lines. Dial presents very well. Measures 11 5/8″ outer diameter, 1 1/2″ between the center of the center hole and the center of the winding hole, 1 15/16 between the center of the center hole and the center of the seconds hole. Unusual Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Inlay Mantle Clock W/ Porcelain Dial Runs. This nice looking and unusually styled clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. This model features a signed Seth Thomas 48 R 8 day movement that is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. On a high quality flat coil gong that has a great resonating sound, and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is classic in style and craftsmanship. It is still in the original finish and has aged beautifully over the years. Measures 12 high x 8 wide x 6 deep. The original signed porcelain enamel dial and solid brass bezel with beveled edge glass assembly is also in great condition. This was actually the practice of the Seth Thomas Clock Co. We will include easy to re-install instructions, which basically requires putting the gong stand back in its hole and fastening the nut from underneath. This clock comes complete with a key and the original pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. We honestly want you to be happy. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted.
