Unusual Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Inlay Mantle Clock W/ Porcelain Dial Runs. This nice looking and unusually styled clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. This model features a signed Seth Thomas 48 R 8 day movement that is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. On a high quality flat coil gong that has a great resonating sound, and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is classic in style and craftsmanship. It is still in the original finish and has aged beautifully over the years. Measures 12 high x 8 wide x 6 deep. The original signed porcelain enamel dial and solid brass bezel with beveled edge glass assembly is also in great condition. This was actually the practice of the Seth Thomas Clock Co. We will include easy to re-install instructions, which basically requires putting the gong stand back in its hole and fastening the nut from underneath. This clock comes complete with a key and the original pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. We honestly want you to be happy. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. Once in awhile we do offer other types of antiques and collectibles for sale, but mainly clocks are what we’re about. We are a very small, family run enterprise.. Ben handles all repairs in house. He has been restoring clocks since 1976, and a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors since 1978.
