The clock is in nice condition with no major issues. It appears that it had a dedication plate on the stand, just below the clock. It could be color matched pretty easily, but it’s not noticeable enough to worry about. Mechanically the clock is mostly untested. It was wound and ticked while it was being listed. When the hands were cycled it chimed. This is a nice heavy clock issued by Seth Thomas and it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!

5 3/8 wide on face, edge to edge. It has been kept in very nice condition. Face shows no issues. Sides have a couple of spots here and there. See all the pictures for more details. The clock runs and chimes, but the chimes do not correspond to time. Clock should be attached to a wall for the chimes to work properly. Could be just a matter of leaving it on the wall for a day or two, and everything might work properly. Could be serviced by a clock repair person. Any questions, please ask.

This is an 8-day clock and should be wound (both holes) once a week. It strikes “dog watches” or naval time. The clock will strike even numbers on the hour and odd on the half. The hours are 2,4,6,8 and the half hours 1, 3, 5, 7. 12:00 8 bells. 12:30 1 bell. 1:00 2 bells. 1:30 3 bells. 2:00 4 bells. 2:30 5 bells. 3:00 6 bells. 3:30 7 bells. 4:00 8 bells. The back of the clock still has the original label marked. CAT:1004 Name: CORSAIR-W MODEL: E537-000 SETH THOMAS Div. Of General Time Corp. A TALLEY INDUSTRIES CO. The back is also engraved with. The bottom of the dial is marked. There is some pitting and a minor scratches on the brass. Scratches on dial around the key winders. There does not appear to be any scratches on the crystal (glass). The clock face has a bell strike or silent selector and a time fast/slow adjustment. Please look at the photos for actual condition.

I have disassembled, cleaned, oiled the movement, and have cleaned & polished the case. The dial face has a brushed stainless steel finish, and shows both 12 hr. A winding key is included for the strike & movement mainsprings. A silver custom 3D printed base is included for desk or mantle display. The clock measures 5-1/2 in diameter, and weighs just over 3 pounds.

This classic bell clock features a screw on bezel and a dial finished with 24-hour & 12 hour arabic numerals in a silver chapter ring. Ornate accents framing the clock face adds the perfect touch of class. It features a chime silence option. Finished in a beautiful platform escapement, on select cherry hardwood. Durable brass water resistant housing bushings. The movement is German and made for Seth Thomas. Eight day, 7 Jewel, striking bell clock whose design dates to 1921. The movement number is A207-000 CC #7313, which is essentially a Hermle 132-071. It has a compensated balance wheel and Breguet hairspring. It is in especially fine condition with a near blemish free dial and case which shows some minor marks. The clock has been recently serviced by a master clock smith, and the movement is keeping.

DESCRIPTION : Beautiful set of Seth Thomas Corsair-W brass clock and Corsair barometer on a wood stand. The clock is a Model E537-000 Cat: 1004 and the barometer is a Model E537-010 Cat:1504. They are 5 1/2″ in diameter and 3 1/4″ thick. Both work fine and there is a key included to wind the clock. The wood stand is 14″ wide, 2″ deep, and 3 high and is in good condition with a few signs of wear. Our items have been donated to our thrift store and we usually do not have first hand knowledge of the item. We are also staffed by volunteers who are probably not expert in the item listed.
