Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Inlay Beehive Style Clock Serviced & Running. This nice looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. This model features an earlier signed Seth Thomas # 89 solid plate 8 day movement that has been serviced and is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. On a high quality flat coil gong that has a great resonating sound, and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is classic in style and craftsmanship. It measures 13″ tall x 8 3/4″ wide x 5 deep and is still in the original finish and has aged beautifully and is in great condition. Notice the classic real inlay under the dial and around the edges and sides. The original painted 4 3/4 dial and solid brass bezel assembly is also in great condition. This clock comes complete with the key and pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. We honestly want you to be happy. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. Once in awhile we do offer other types of antiques and collectibles for sale, but mainly clocks are what we’re about. We are a very small, family run enterprise.. Ben handles all repairs in house. He has been restoring clocks since 1976, and a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors since 1978. This is a nice vintage antique Seth Thomas USA metal case alarm mantel / shelf clock. I think it has been overwound because the keys will not turn. If I move the clock from side to side it will start to tick. In decent condition as the pics show with some cosmetic wear and some dings to the metal and it comes exactly as shown. It measures 7″ x 3″ at the base and is 9 tall.

Antique Seth Thomas U. NAVY BOAT CLOCK great for restoration needs. The case has its original unpolished patina. There Is an old bump on the ring. The glass has multiple cracks. The clock dial is loose and missing the key and clock hands. Sounds like there is something loose inside that slides around when you tilt it. This will make a worthy restoration project. A Seth Thomas Model 102 from the 1880s in a stunning faux burl wood adamantine finish with a deep, rich luster. The finish came to us in good condition and we have used our neutral cleaner and applied a coat of hard wax and done minor cleaning to the copper accents. The movement is of the period but does not appear to be the original movement housed in the case (based on mounting holes inside the case). Movement has been cleaned, lubricated, adjusted and keeps excellent time with a bell on the half hour and gong on the hour. The clock came to us from an area collector. Condition: the clock is in full working order, both time and strike, and has been run continuously in our workshop without incident. A small area of finish is lacking on one corner and is pictured in the images. The original dial has some toning and the usual marks around the winding arbors. Most of the original label on the back is still present but very toned. The photographs are an integral part of the condition statement. The clock is 16.5 inches wide, 6.5 inches depth and 11.5 inches in height. Pre-packing weight 8 lb 13 oz. We are happy to consider your reasonable offers. Sound Opening on Bottom. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself. A nice looking patinaed brass lacquer look case on this clock. Would guess the clock dates to just before the WWII period. Has no markings on the back of the case. An uncommon feature with this clock is the sound venting on the bottom of the case. An uncommon, but ingenious feature to allow the strike of the clock to be heard over a larger area. The bezel (door) is attached to the rest of the case. Flat glass in the bezel is intact. Just some minor surface scratching to the glass, no cracks or blistering. The clock has been running since we acquired it. Think this is a 3 day movement, not an 8 day. The springs feel sound on the movement when keyed. The clock’s hands all move as they should including the seconds hand. The clock strikes as expected but the strike hammer does need adjusting, as rings dully when goes off. The clock will come with a wind key. The clock face shows some discoloration, wear to finish, and fading from age and is intact. The clock has both its’ minute and hour hands as well as the seconds hand. Brass case is 7″ across, by 3-7/8″ tall. The clock face is 5 across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocks before, I would suggest you steer clear. One really needs to have the patience, and skill to work with these great works of art. They are not our modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. Make sure that this clock meets your needs and requirements before deciding to acquire it.
