Large Antique Seth Thomas Westminster Chime Clock Classic Styling / Serviced. This nice old clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #124 mechanical, keywind, Westminster Chime, pendulum movement that has been serviced and is in good running condition, keeping time and chiming properly. This may have started out life as an electric clock, or at least there is provision for either electric or mechanical movements. In case you are not familiar with Westminster Chimes, these are the ones that play a tune every 15 minutes; 4 notes on the quarter; 8 notes on the ½ hour; 12 notes at the ¾ hour; and then the full 16 note tune on the hour, followed by the hour toll, i. 1 toll at 1:00, 2 tolls at 2:00, etc. The classically styled case is a quite a bit larger than usual and in over all good condition. The case measurements are 21″ wide x 10 ½” high x 7 ½ deep. This clock comes complete with a key and the original pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. USA, nearly 100 year ago. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #89 movement that is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. On a quality flat coiled gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is in nice aged condition. It is still in the original dark finish and very attractive, showing only the normal signs of use over time. The solid brass bezel and silvered dial assembly is also in very good condition. It has minor usage wear, but is really in nice shape for its age, and the solid brass bezel has the usual tarnishing. The case is a little narrower than you usually find them measuring 13 ½” wide x 9 ¼” high x 6 ¼ deep. It comes complete with the pendulum and key.
