Would make a great project rebuild piece for someone wanting to build their own clock. Original owner said this was a “Grandmother” clock, not a Grandfather, we are not sure of the difference. This case stands 82 inches tall, 19 inches from left to right, and 9 inches front to back. Actually belonged to a very well known Rhode Island mobster who passed away. This is a gorgeous antique Seth Thomas clock from the late 1800’s. The clock is working/running and the bell/gong are fully functional. I ran the clock for about two days and it is losing about 10 minutes every 24 hours. May need a few adjustments. Measures approx 16 3/4 inches in total length. Measures approx 11 1/2 inches tall and approx 7 1/4 inches in total width. Has been well cared for over time as seen in the photos. The front top left corner of the cherry wood case has a chip and there is also a chip on the back right top corner of the case. Comes from a smoke free and pet free home. Also, it has beveled glass doors in the front and glass panels on the side. Finally, it has a beautiful face, brass weights, moon dial and pendulum. Overall, the clock is in very good shape. Beautiful LARGE wall clock made by SETH THOMAS. Most likely made in the late 1800’s or early 1900’s. 37″ tall, 15″ wide, and 5 1/4 deep. Looks to be made of solid CHERRY and all original. Condition: The glass has absolutely no cracks or chips and has antique waves and bubbles. The cherry has no major chips or cracks. The face lookd to be original and has a fantastic font along with the company name. Both arbors wind with no issues. The pendulum shows some age. The door closes as it should and shuts into place nicely. The locking hook is still in place and functional. The back of the inside has a fantastic aged almost leather look about it. The back inside has some of the usual scratches from the pendulum swing. It has been running for about 40 minutes but may need adjusted. The sound is fast on the hour. It sounds on the hour. A gorgeous turn of the century mantel clock by Seth Thomas. Adamantine No 295 E. A light wood cherry finish with engraved detail. Features 4 amber colored pillars along the front, a brass face and lion heads along the sides. Very Good See pictures.
