Antique 1910s Chelsea Beehive Mantle Clock – Bigelow Kinnard – VIDEO – ORIGINAL. Key – Present – Original – Marked Chelsea. Mechanism – Marked Chelsea – Time and Strike. Hands – Original – Steel. Dial – Original – Painted Metal. Operating condition – Tested – The clock wound easy but only operated a VERY short time. The strike side is working properly but the time side is not functioning correctly (See Video). This clock is not in proper operating order and will require service for optimal operation. History – The prior owner was a clocksmith for 38 years and at age 89 he. Was no longer able to work on them, so decided to start letting some of his personal clocks go. He did keep regular oiling and typical maintenance up as needed while he owned them until this last year. This has a great look to it and has been kept in good vintage condition. There may be some scratching or surface wear from age which is to be expected. Please see all photos for details and feel free to ask any questions. This piece measures just under 10.25″ wide in total and the face measures 8.5″. The glass has a crack to the front. Its been tested and works. We are including a key that we used form one of our Chelsea clocks that also fits in this one so its not original to this clock but does fit. Please keep in mind that the majority of the items in my store are used, vintage or antique. I try to list every item accurately and to the best of my ability including any damage that I may find. There may be surface wear, scuffing or minor things to items that would come with normal use so if there is something specific you are concerned about please ask.
