Antique Seth Thomas Cottage Mantle Clock c1863 SUPER RARE, WORKING & STUNNING!! For your consideration today is an absolutey AMAZING original Victorian era Seth Thomas mantle clock. This baby is circa 1863, has its original key, winds, ticks and chimes beautifully. The door lock works, the original label visible on the inside and though the face has wear, I find the patina stunning. The face hands have “S & T” on them, which was a new stylish feature, and why this model is so rare considering it’s age and collectiblity. Please reference all photos before making your decision. C1863, Seth Thomas Clock Co. PARLOR CALENDAR, 8 day 2 weight double dial perpetual calendar clock. This model has octagonal opening for the dials, and a beautiful reverse painted tablet in the center. The beautiful rosewod veneered case has a newer finish. There are minor chips at the extreme edges of the case. The upper dial is refinished, while the lower dial has a newer paper dial. There are 2 extra mounting holes in the lower dial. The hands are modern replacements. The two weights are original. The hook broke off one – a wire is securely wrapped around it and hangs well. I have the weights hanging on the clock. The movement has run ok for the past 2 days. The calendar changed dates, but needs adjustment. The clock has great original pendulum, labels, instruction card, and good rollers.
