VERY RARE Seth Thomas MUSICAL BOX mantel clock. Made by SETH THOMAS in the late 1800’s. Original Seth Thomas built in music box. Adamantine top and bottom ledges. Decorative feet on front and back. Decorative metal pieces on both sides and underneath clock face. Decorative gold tone clock surround and middle. From what I could find on this clock…. And there wasnt much. The music box was built into approximately 1 in every 10,000 clocks they made! No chips or cracks in glass. The body is in good condition with only light signs of age and wear. The back bottom panel is no longer there. The rear metal door opens and closes with no issues. The front bezel also opens and closes with no issues. The clock does tic but does not sound. The bottom middle decorative piece is missing a piece. The front clock paper is a replacement. The movement looks to be a replacement. Original to the clock: Music box. All decorative metal pieces. Past replacements: Clock face paper. Please keep in mind that this is an antique. May or may not need serviced as it is over 100 years old. 11 1/4″ tall, 16 1/2″ wide, and 7 deep.
