Very nice Seth Thomas Adamantine mantle clock. This clock works but while taking pictures I see that the suspension spring is broken. Update: The suspension spring was not broken just unhooked. The clock purrs like a kitten and chimes work also.

Antique SETH THOMAS 1910 Adamantine BELMONT No 2 Mantel Clock

This is a Seth Thomas Belmont No. It was made in 1910 and is a Time and Strike 8 day clock. Its 89AL movement is a workhorse and used in a lot of ST products so there are plenty of parts if service is needed. This particular movement is very clean and looks to have been well maintained. It kept excellent time over the 3 week testing period with a nice beat rate and no time variations. A clock of this age will normally have a few issues. This one has a few small cosmetic flaws being a small scratch on the dial, a small dent on the Adamantine veneer on the top right rear and a chip on the back edge corner’s edge and bump on the front lower corner has resulted in faint diagonal lines. All minor and not really noticeable. It is 12 1/2 x 5 1/2″ x 9 7/8″ and still has the instructional label on the bottom although it has faded a good deal.
