It was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. USA right around 1920. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #89 movement that has been serviced and is in good running condition, keeping time and gonging properly. It has the nice old signed Seth Thomas painted dial that is in great aged condition, gently aged and worn. The original case finish is also very nice. It has nice, authentic light age crackling that is impossible to duplicate. This a beautifully styled clock that has been very well taken care of over the years. The case measurements are 8 1/2″ wide x 11 1/2″ high x 5 deep. This clock comes complete with a key and pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. All sales are final, so please be sure that you will be happy by reviewing the pictures and descriptions that we provide. We honestly want you to be happy. It is nearly impossible to find one in “mint” condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. USA during the 1920’s. This model features a signed Seth Thomas #120 keywind, pendulum movement that is in good running condition, keeping time and gonging properly. It counts each hour on a quality flat steel gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. It is very easy to re-install. Simply place the threaded post through the hole in the bottom of the clock, line the gong up under the hammer and screw on the nut and washer underneath. It has the nice old signed Seth Thomas silvered dial that is in good aged condition, showing normal signs of age and wear. The case is also very nice looking. It measures 7 ¼” wide x 1o” high x 5 deep so is the perfect size for a bookcase, small shelf, desk, etc. This clock comes complete with the original key and pendulum. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Inlay Beehive Style Clock Serviced & Running. This nice looking clock was made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Conn. This model features an earlier signed Seth Thomas 48 R 8 day movement that is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 gong at 1:00, 2 gongs at 2:00, etc. On a high quality flat coil gong that has a great resonating sound, and announces each half hour with a single toll. The case is classic in style and craftsmanship. It is still in the original finish and has aged beautifully and is in great condition. Notice the classic string inlay all around the edges and sides The original porcelain enamel dial and solid brass bezel with beveled edge glass assembly is also in great condition. There is a little roughage around the fast/slow arbor and a small flake at the edge near the The case is a little larger than normal measuring 11¾ high x 7¼ wide x 5½ deep. The Sonora chime line of Seth Thomas clocks are some of the most complex and beautiful sounding clocks the company ever produced. The time keeping mechanism has a few lifter arms that tell the chiming mechanism when to activate the quarter chimes and the hour strike. When working properly, they sound incredible. Offered here is a Seth Thomas Sonora chime mantle clock. I did a lot of research, and the closest I could narrow down the manufacturing date is 1914 – 1921. As I said, I know nothing about clocks, but similar images elsewhere on the web say that S. Eth Thomas clocks with this particular inlaid design in a beehive case are often referred to as Model 64 or 264. Antiqueclockspriceguide says a clock identical to the one offered here (right down to the chime movement model and rods) is Model 64-A. I don’t know the correct model number – just providing you with the info I found. When working, this clock plays a chime melody on 4 steel rods. Late in their Sonora production, Seth Thomas changed over from bells to rods to compete with less expensive imports. This clock still has the sturdy separate chime movement Model No. 119 manufactured by Mayland. This clock has winding at 3 o’clock. When I found this clock, I opened the back and discovered a bubble wrapped bag with a bunch of bits and pieces that the former owner clearly wanted to keep with the clock. I’ve identified some of those pieces as the pendulum and the key. Sections of broken spring from the time keeping mechanism. And while all 4 chime rods are present, two have been detached from the block. I don’t know if there is anything else wrong with the innards other than that. As for the case, it is mahogany wood with satinwood inlay. The finish has extensive alligatoring, but there are only a few very shallow surface scratches. Measures about 9 from side to side. If you find your joy in rescuing and restoring antique clocks, I hope you’ve just found your next Labor of Love in this piece. But please be aware that with this clock’s issues, it may not be reparable because spare parts are very hard to come by, and you might only be able to use it for its parts. This is a weighty piece of history! That way, you can select the carrier that is cheapest or fastest for you, depending on your priorities. Please examine the photos and description carefully, and ask questions if you are unsure.

Here is beautiful 1905 to 1909 Seth Thomas (Stratford) beehive mantle clock. It has a like new porcelain dial with beveled convex glass. It stikes on the hour and half hour. The cabinets in beautiful condition. The movement was completely disassembled, cleaned with all components inspected. Several bushings were replaced where required. It’s been running in test for several months and ready to go.
