Seth Thomas “Eclipse” Circa 1880 This clock retains its original factory finish. The gold silkscreen painted glass is original. This clock also has its original label on the inside backside, its serial number U2001 on the inside door frame. Another great feature of this clock is the Seth Thomas 8 day movement, it is in very good condition and running correctly keeping good time here at the house and striking properly as well. The movement has been service, ultrasonically cleaned and oiled. The movement has all of the Seth Thomas stamps and the 1875 patent date stamp also. This clock measures 26 1/2 inches in height by 14 1/2 inches in width. The Seth Thomas dial also measures 6 inches in diameter. Also the clock comes with the original double ended brass winding key. This is a clock that never goes out of style and has been a classic for over 130 years. This clock retains its original factory finish, walnut cabinet is in excellent condition, it is free of cracks breaks and missing trim. The clocks finish is also in very good condition as you can see this from the photo’s. The gold silkscreen painted glass is also in very good condition with little wear for a clock that is 130 years old. This clock also features its original “eclipse” stamped pendulum. This clock also has the inner label inside the clock as well behind the pendulum. It is a spring wound eight day time & strike movement that announces the half hour and counts the hour on a good sounding wire gong. The gong base is a quality base it has the nickel base along with the heavy flat wire. Also the clock comes with the original double ended brass winding key which winds the movement. There is a alarm mechanism that is located inside the door toward the bottom of the clock that has its own key attached.
