This valuable BEAUTIFUL CLOCK is 107 years old yet in Good Working Condition. The glass face hinge needs to be reattached to the brass clock frame if so desired. There are a few minor imperfections in the wood and a few tiny sprinkles of paint. I believe, based on internet research, that this wood is MAHOGANY but cannot guarantee. Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantle Clock Shasta 1900s 89AD Movement RARE!! For your consideration today is a STUNNING antique Seth Thomas black mantle clock. This beauty is the “Shasta” Adamantine model, was made in 1916 and is a favorite of collectors everywhere. This version is larger than most others, features a serpentine top, celluloid drum sides, four fully round celluloid columns, large ornate metal feet and uses 89AD movement. The “Adamantine” finish is a patented laminate finish from the late 1800s and is in beautiful condition. It has been tested with a key I have for another clock however so it does work, just needs a little TLC, but not much as it is in amazing condition for its age. This is an antique Seth Thomas Chime Clock from around 1915 with the 89AD movement. This double strike clock appears to be intact and fully operational. It winds, runs, and chimes, but please NOTE: It is from an estate therefore it cannot be guaranteed to work without some cleaning and light restoration. The original finish shows some age-appropriate crazing. Otherwise, there is no mold, or untoward smells or appearances. There are a couple of of blemishes on the rim of the face. This listing is for an Antique Seth Thomas Chime Clock Circa 1915 , with Time Movement numbered ” 89AD ” and Made in U. America together with Seth Tomas mark , marked as shown on back. Suggestion has been made that it is one of the Prospect series, Probably Prospect No. “1915C” stamped on base as shown. About 12 1/2 inches tall , 8 13/16 inches by 4 5/8 inches at wooden base, 2273 grams total net weight with weight and key and whatever the pictured pin is for. With 4 brass legs as shown, , with white part of dial measuring 4 3/4 inches and overall 6 inches with its enclosure, glass cover as shown, with some yellowing of dial and hour arm with loss of paint as shown probably due to pulling of the hour arm back and forth. Not sure of wood but finish is as shown with a small scuff at top as shown along with a couple of probably wall paint drips as shown. Brass movement with metal springs. Pictorial weight as shown. Two sided key as shown fits adjustment and winds for chime and clock movement springs. If you know what that pin is, please let me know. One end apparently is made into a handle. Please see specific images of this item. In excellent antique as shown condition. I have not been able to make it work pendulum movement makes the gears move and though it stops after a few back and forth. The chime is fully wound and I have been able to make it chime by setting time to 12 o’clock chimes twelve times , but not checked for other chimes (like at 15 , 30 and 45 minutes). It looks all together and I figure someone that knows this things should be easily able to service it and bring it back to fully functional state. This clock is not refinished. The back lock mechanism is fine as shown and the back opens and comes out. Images are continuous and have an order front , back, sides, etc.. and should be viewed in continuous fashion.
