Antique 1890s – 1910s Cast Iron Figural Novelty Mantle Clock. Features – Gold Gilt Finish – Foundry stamped on the base (see photo 10) – 20″ tall X 9″ Wide – High Quality example for its era and has a very unique look for display to any space – Is missing the glass thats covered the dial. Movement – Time Only. Operating condition – I have many clocks to test and limited time to do so – Tested – This clock ran for several hours after i oiled it but it then did stop. I would recommend keeping the movement oiled atthe very least but would also recommend to have it professionally cleaned if you are wanting run it consistently, thus to guarantee long term optimal operation. Clock Body – Condition is as seen – Please see ALL photos you be the judge. Beautiful Example visually – No chips, cracks or damage to be found in the body. The strike side is working properly but the time side is not functioning correctly (See Video). This clock is not in proper operating order and will require service for optimal operation. History – The prior owner was a clocksmith for 38 years and at age 89 he. Was no longer able to work on them, so decided to start letting some of his personal clocks go. He did keep regular oiling and typical maintenance up as needed while he owned them until this last year. DESCRIPTION Classic styled round faced enamel clock by the Seth Thomas clock company. Dating to the late early 20th century this clean mahogany cased clock sits tall on four metal bun feet. There are two holes on the face, one for winding the clock mechanism and one for the chimes. Complete with key and pendulum. Signed on the face: Brock & Feagans Mechanism marked: ST USA 48R Made in America US This would make a great addition to any mantel or American made clock collection or a great house warming gift. MEASUREMENTS Mantel clock measures 11.5″ tall by 7.5″ wide by 5 deep and weighs 5lb 2oz. CONDITION In good clean working condition.
