An Antique-Seth Thomas-Wooden Works-Shelf Clock-Ca. 1820s-To Restore-The clock is very very original & not fooled with. Just as I bought it from the attic of an old Boston Mass. The case retains its original old finish. Both top & bottom glass are original. The tablet has no flaking or inpainting. Original putty on both glasses. The 30 hour time & bell strike movement is complete & original with its original weights , pendulum & winding crank. It needs a minute hand. The left foot is missing a few toes. The last repair date is listed on the back of the dial March 4 1899. There is a loose bit of veneer on the door & one small veneer chip on the side. All original glue blocks on top splat. A nice correct example of this style of clock. Uncommon to find an original tablet in perfect condition.
