The wooden case exhibits a beautiful aged patina consistent with its vintage, showing some wear, nicks, and a chip on the lower left front base (see images for detailed condition). The lower glass panel shows some silvering loss. This clock is stated to run for several days on a single winding and does not require tight winding. This is a rare antique Seth Thomas No. 295 mantel clock, dating from the late 1800s to early 1900s. It features a beautifully carved wooden case with ornate brass details, lion paw feet, and classical column elements. The original mechanical movement is marked Made in U. America and includes both the pendulum and bell/gong chime. Condition: Complete and all-original, but not currently running. The partial model label remains on the inside. This clock is a fantastic display piece as-is, or an excellent candidate for restoration.
