1920’s Seth Thomas Mahogany Mantel Clock 89AL Movement, Works/Chimes Perfectly! Pre-owned in excellent condition. All functions work perfectly. No scratches on glass or damage to hinges. Except for very light discoloration the winding slots on dial, the clock is nearly pristine. Original condition; it has not been repaired or refinished. In excellent cosmetic and operating condition. Has a Seth Thomas No. 120 compact 8-day pendulum regulated movement with one-striker time-and-strike chimes on a cathedral gong. Movement has been cleaned, lubricated where appropriate, calibrated, and thoroughly tested. The case is wood finished in a very dark cherry. Case has its original finish in beautiful condition. It has been cleaned and coated with a protective hard sealing wax. Has a bronze bezel that retains its original patina, an aluminum face with black Arabic numerals. The face has some scuffs (see detail photo). Chimes synchronize automatically to the time. 9″ tall, 20″ wide, and 5.75 deep with a 5.75-inch dial. Weighs just over 5 pounds. Comes with a winding key. 1920s Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock Working. Displays and keeps accurate time. The clock measures 6 wide, 9.5 tall and 5.5deep. The case is in very good condition with very few marks(see top). No repairs or breaks. The 3.5dial, 4 bezel and beveled glass are all in great shape. The 8 day brass movement is clean and keeps accurate time. However, the movement does not strike each hour correctly. The movement correctly strikes once on every half hour but only strikes once at the top of every hour. Excellent sound quality on the strike. Cleaned and oiled, comes with its original pendulum and two winding keys.
