This antique pendulum wall clock with a unique second hand is in very good condition and working. It has some ware from age and use but a minimal amount for being over 100 years old. The Seth Thomas movement is marked with an 80. After research, I think that this clock was made in the late 1800’s though I don’t see any markings on the back indicating the year it was made. It is 32″ tall, 16″ wide and almost 6 thick. The face is 12 in diameter and has a bit of ware on the bottom numbers from the hands, which are loose, that may have been rubbing. This clock has been serviced last in July 2025 and is on my living room wall, and I have never had a wind-up clock kept such perfect time. It is an 8-day movement and I wind it once a week and I really hate to see it go. Please view all 12 photos as they are part of this description….

Antique SETH THOMAS Mantle Clock chimes With Key. Mantel clock is in excellent physical condition without scratches in the wood. Clock face details are in excellent condition also. Glass face cover is intact without scratches or chips. I have wound the clock, but it does not keep time. Chimed when second hand moved manually. Circa early 1900’s; wood case brown burl finish with black detailing; metal feet; ornate gilt dial; 8 day time & strike. Height 11″, Width 12-1/2″, Depth 6. This is a beautiful piece and most likely just needs the mechanism cleaned to work properly.

Inside this clock a note with this info was tucked away. The note will be included. It read the following. Paul, I thought you might like to work on this clock. The clock was given to Carl where he was in the Cabert house. It was the last clock left there. If you have patience you can get it running with the correct date & month. The only time it needs to be changed is leap year. We had it cleaned and worked on when we first received it. It can always go in the trash. The original key is also included. The key works to open and close the latch that opens the door to the clock and it does wind the clock up. I don’t know much about clocks, this clock does appear to be in close to if not working condition. I put the weight in after winding both wind knobs on the top clock face and rocked the weight back in forth. The clock whirred up for a few minutes and the bell rang several times. I can attach a video that I took from this. Overall this clock appears to be in excellent shape. The original inner door label is great, the screws appear to be set in well, the innards are extremely clean. There are some minor scuffs on the outside wood surface, but they are extremely minor. The clock base is about 13.5″ wide by 5″ the clock itself is about 26.5 tall.
