Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day “Beehive” Style Striking Mantle Clock, no key. It is about 11 5/8″h x 7 1/4″l (at base) and 5 1/2d (includes crystal). It DOES NOT come with pendulum and key, will need to acquire one. The pendulum swings freely. The wood has signs of wear and tear, utilize pictures to determine condition. All our items are in pre-owned condition and will have signs of wear/age. UNTESTED, NO KEY, WILL NEED SOME ADJUSTMENTS AND POSSIBLE MINOR REPAIR.

Sound Opening on Bottom. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself. A nice looking patinaed brass lacquer look case on this clock. Would guess the clock dates to just before the WWII period. Has no markings on the back of the case. An uncommon feature with this clock is the sound venting on the bottom of the case. Beautiful estate find Seth Thomas brass clock. I tested this for 12 hours. It seemed to keep accurate time within a minute. However, after 12 hours, it didn’t keep accurate time. I’m sure it needs a clockmaker to adjust the mechanism. Also, check out all the detailed photos to get an idea of the overall quality and condition of this clock. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day “Beehive” Round Top Style Striking Mantle Clock. This beautifully styled clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Co. In Thomaston, Connecticut, USA during the earlier 1900’s. It features a quality Seth Thomas #89 movement which has been cleaned and is in good running order, keeping time and gonging properly. It counts out each hour on a cathedral style gong and announces each half hour with a single toll. Electric Striking Mantle Clock. Is keeping time and will strike/chime on the hour and half hour. I believe the case is mahogany -not sure about wood types. Has an inlay strip in front. The wood case is clean, however it does have paint spackles on it – I believe can easily be cleaned up without any damage to the wood. According to the stamp on the bottom (5103), this clock was made in March 1951. The interior mechanism has a stamp of 5101 which translates to January 1951. 15″ long by 8 1/2″ high by 4 1/2 deep.
