Sound Opening on Bottom. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself. A nice looking patinaed brass lacquer look case on this clock. Would guess the clock dates to just before the WWII period. Has no markings on the back of the case. An uncommon feature with this clock is the sound venting on the bottom of the case. An uncommon, but ingenious feature to allow the strike of the clock to be heard over a larger area. The bezel (door) is attached to the rest of the case. Flat glass in the bezel is intact. Seth Thomas “Adamantine” Mantel Clock with Cathedral gong strikes on the numbwr of times the hours is and every half hour strikes a single soft Bell note. This is an 8 day key wound Seth Thomas movement. This clock has had some 85-90% restoration amd looks really good for a clock built in.

When I bought it and transported it it ran for a little bit but died out. Has some wear from age and use. Please see all pictures for condition.

Antique Seth Thomas Adamantine Clock. Runs well and has bell chime and gong strike. Case is in excellent condition! Runs well and keeps good time (winding key included). Measures 16 1/2 in. Across and 11 1/4. This one is a real nice. There is a few specks of paint vary small i did not try to remove them. I thought best to leave alone. And small nick here and there nothing bad.
