Dial is metal, and two rings drawn around time track with dots for minute marks. Early features of dial are tapered numerals 3, 4, and 8, with small winding holes (8.2 mm). Movement type 1.243 (the earliest type). Measures: Height 25-7/8″, width 15-5/8″, depth 4-3/8. The case has nicks, chips, scratches in the veneer and wood back. This is a nice example of a SETH THOMAS Sonora 2 bell ding dong strike mantle clock. It has its original ADAMANTINE finish that really only has a couple small nicks on the top corners. It has been running strong and striking correctly for several days. It looks to have been cleaned and lubricated not too long ago. It does have its original back wood cover with a rough label intact.
