For Sale a Rare Very Nice Antique Seth Thomas & Sons Tucker Bronze Mantel Clock Circa 1878. Case has been cleaned and gone over to bring back natural bronze patina. Porcelain dial with a couple chips that are hidden by bezel. Bronze heavy bezel sits on clock and covers dial, but hinge is broken, so it needs to be removed and replaced after winding. Up for sale is an antique mantel clock by Seth Thomas & Sons (retailed by Mitchell Vance & CO). This one is quite a rarity and an early piece utilizing cast metal and a gorgeous French style case. This is a really nice hard to find antique Seth Thomas 8-Day chime Adamantine six full pillared mantel clock. This is a very hard to find model in this configuration as most of these type clocks have only four pillars or half pillars. The code on the bottom of this clock (5091D) would date it to April 1905. Vintage Seth Thomas, Northbury 1-E, model E704. From the description on the inner label has a B-1700 series chiming movement. Appears the power cord was replaced at some point and wire nutted with a replacement cord that includes a resettable fuse. Clock has been tested and works! Chiming mechanism has a slide switch to lock the chime and keep it from chiming. Includes a small key for setting adjusting the time/chime if necessary.
