Offering this rare and beautiful Art Nouveau mantel clock by Seth Thomas. It features a lithe fairy figure on one side of the clock’s pillar and a cherub on the other side. The fairy has a realistic face and body and moth-like wings, and the cherub is a typical Cupid-style figure with a mandolin. There are Art Nouveau motifs throughout, from the sinuous feet to the pebbled texture of the pillar to the windblown ribbon to the scrolls and roses on top. The front cover opens but you have to align the catch part when closing. It is off by an 1/8. The key is included. I wound it and started the pendulum swinging. This is an antique Seth Thomas Chime Clock from around 1915 with the 89AD movement. This double strike clock appears to be intact and fully operational. It winds, runs, and chimes, but please NOTE: It is from an estate therefore it cannot be guaranteed to work without some cleaning and light restoration. The original finish shows some age-appropriate crazing. Otherwise, there is no mold, or untoward smells or appearances. There are a couple of of blemishes on the rim of the face.
